Skate Journeys is an inline skate school which was built upon the belief, first and foremost, that learning to skate is a great way to create a fun and fit community. Secondly, we believe that learning to skate is a great way for all ages to expand the senses, push balance limits and learn to live life just a little differently. We endeavor to give skaters the tools they need to be successful. Our students claim that the school has helped them to increase their self esteem, increased their social community and made fitness fun.our students comprise of about 60% adults and 50% kids. Our instructors teach new skaters how to skate with confidence, and the experienced skaters new skills. Our classes are offered year round at Bellevue Skate King Roller Rink and outdoors in better weather in King County locales such as Seattle, Redmond, Issaquah & Woodinville. For Spring and Summer '09 we are offering weekly classes at Alki & Gasworks, contact us for details. In February, 2009 Skate Journeys has applied to become a 501 (c) 3 non profit corporation so we can further venture into our community and promote fitness and a better life through skating and other fun play.
For our Beginners we offer beginning skate classes every Saturday and Sunday 45 weeks a year at Bellevue Skate King Roller Rink (Driving Directions). We also offer them in other locales in the Spring and Summer. Currently we are offering Beginner classes at Alki & Gasworks in Seattle (May - August, '09). See the navigation buttons on the right for all the details. For those who may be confused about the difference between "inline skates" and "rollerblades," note that Rollerblade is a brand name, but the sport is actually called Inline Skating and rollerblades are actually called inline skates. As to our favorite brand, Skate Journeys is proud to be sponsored by K2 Skates. What if you already know how to skate?
